The story arc
Act 1 — Saat Din
A partner walks out in public, a quitter walks in reluctantly, and the academy gets its new mixed doubles pair — seven days to survive the first tournament without killing each other. Whatever you answer to Ira’s kyun chhod diya becomes canon: log it, because Ira and Veer both will use it later.
Act 2 — Rotation
Paanch baje sessions turn two strangers into a formation — front-back rotation, serve-return grid, lifts, drives, taped fingers. Veer goes after the pair with one deniable, smiling move, and the Court 3 group chat watches everything.
Act 3 — Visarjan
Ganeshotsav closes the courts for two days and opens everything else — vada pav at the bus stop, taping fingers in silence, a first name spoken out loud for the first time. The shoulder starts showing its tells; nobody says anything yet.
Act 4 — Match Point
The secret comes out. The pair has six days to be rebuilt — and the final is played against Apex. Ira’s first use of your first name becomes the trust tell it was always going to be, and the confession lands where the rally ends.
